Modders Replace DLSS With AMD FSR 2.0 In Several Games

Nexusmods user PotatoOfDoom has found a way to add FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 to Cyberpunk 2077 by piggybacking off of DLSS.
If you don’t have an Nvidia RTX GPU that can take advantage of DLSS, using this as an alternative would be a great FPS saver.
According to PotatoOfDoom, enabling FSR 2.0 doubled their 4K performance on a GTX 1080, to 45 fps and can be used on any Nvidia and AMD video card that support Cyberpunk 2077, including the Steam Deck.
He also notes that it’s still in development and for now just a “proof of concept” and has also provided the source code for it on Github.

The mod has since expanded to other games, and is now in Death Stranding, Red Dead Redemption 2, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Metro Exodus: Enhanced Edition, Dying Light 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Control.
The mod needs to be customized per game basis, but the original Cyberpunk version modders are creating a universal solution.
I hope we see these mods expanded to even more games in the future because it has big potential for all GPU owners.
